5 Best Products for Acne Prone Skin

I, unfortunately, have acne prone skin. My face gets super oily throughout the day and I am prone to breakout because of it.

Through the years of suffering from acne I have gathered some products to treat it. Some worked, some didn't and then some even made the problem worse.

Here are my 5 favorite products for acne prone skin!

1. Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash: Salicylic Acid is your friend! This oil free wash includes salicylic acid which is used in a lot of products to treat acne.

2. Clean + Clear Deep Cleansing Astringent: This product also has salicylic acid and helps remove any extra dirt or makeup after you wash your face. They also offer a version for sensitive skin, which is great if you have combination skin!

3. Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne Treatment: This is a benzoyl peroxide based treatment cream. If I am not mistaken it has 5% benzoyl peroxide but in my opinion, it works better than some products with a higher percentage. I apply this product at night and sometimes (not all the time though) my acne looks significantly better by morning.

4. Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer: Even if you're broken out it is good to apply a thin layer of moisturizer to your skin. I chose this one because it is meant for oily/acne prone skin. It is not very oily and contains 0.5% salicylic acid.

5. Cover FX Mattifying Primer with Anti-acne Treatment: This primer is one product I will swear by! It does not make me breakout and probably even helps my skin. Matte means the product won't be shiny or oily. It also has a low dose of salicylic acid in order to help treat breakouts. Two very important things for a girl with acne prone skin!

There it is--five of my favorite beauty products for acne prone skin. Hope you enjoyed!
