Pacifica Color Quench
My Aunt Nancy simply loves spoiling me with beauty products, and these lovely lip tints are a gift from her. Pacifica is a cool brand, and one I really admire. It's 100% vegan, which is increasingly appealing in a world in which what goes into makeup is a bit of a mystery. They're also gluten free, which is good if you have a sensitivity.
I wasn't sure how I felt about these lip tints at first, particularly because I couldn't figure out how to get the product to come out. Turns out you twist them at the top. They are also very large, which makes applying the tints precisely quite difficult. Yet, the tints are very sheer so it's not really a problem if it's a bit messy.
The first thing I noticed about these lip tints is how wonderful they smell. The light pink one, Vanilla Hibiscus, is simply heavenly. It smells warm and light, without being overpowering. If I could eat it, I would. The dark pink one, Blood Orange, is a bit of an acquired taste scent wise. It's definitely not my favourite, but the colour is beautiful and the scent isn't overpowering. I'm also not a fan of coconut in general, but Coconut Pearls smells so warm and lovely. It reminds me of smelling coconut oil extraction in Indonesia, which was an amazing process.
The colour is fairly sheer, but still shows up reasonably well. They are slightly shiny, but not overly so. I've actually used Coconut Pearls as a highlighter when I couldn't find my proper one, and it worked quite well. You only need a thin coat of this product. This product is gloriously hydrating. It melts onto the lips in the most pleasant way. You don't need much, and the hydration lasts for hours. I tend to reapply my lip products in between classes, but I can definitely skip it when using these tints.
I 100% recommend you try these! One is $7 on their website, and the tube is massive. I don't feel like I've scratched the surface of Vanilla Hibiscus, which I wear almost every day!
