Cold Remedies That Double as Beauty Products

I've got a cold. Or something.

All I know is that I've been sick for roughly ten days, and while I feel a lot better than I did before, I still have to take a nap in the afternoon or I'm a wreck.

I've tried everything I can think of to kick this annoying cold. The other night, I realised a lot of these cold remedies have beauty applications as well. Healthy Natalie and pretty Natalie obviously go hand-and-hand. Therefore, these must go together, right?

1) Honey

Honey is an excellent cold remedy. If you've got a sore throat or cough, taking a teaspoon of honey every couple of hours will help you get rid of it. My beekeeper family friend says eating local honey can help get rid of seasonal allergies, too. Honey doubles as a beauty product because it helps get rid of acne. Smear a bit onto spots to help them go away, or mix into homemade face-masks.

2) Hot Bath

Hot baths are good for colds because it warms you up! It also allows you to breathe in plenty of warm steam, which helps clear the sinuses and stops coughing. Hot baths are good for the skin when you add epson salts or a bath bomb. Soak up!

3) Hot tea

Hot tea is another good cold remedy. Warm drinks help keep the upper respiratory tracks moist which can stop a cough. Drinking hot tea can keep one hydrated, which is good for the skin. If you drink green tea, you can benefit from the antioxidants as well.

Sorry no pictures today, I'll try to get some up later. Very tired of feeling like total rubbish. Hope everyone else is having a wonderful week!
